Meet your driver (optional add-on) or make your own way to the designated boat departure point in Entebbe.

09:00 AM / 02:00 PM - Boat Ride to Ngamba Island
Embark on a scenic 45-minute speedboat journey across Lake Victoria, enjoying views of fishing boats, birdlife, and distant islands.

10:00 AM / 03:00 PM - Arrival & Chimpanzee Briefing
Receive a warm welcome from sanctuary staff, followed by an insightful orientation session on Ngambaโ€™s conservation mission and chimpanzee rescue efforts.

10:30 AM / 03:30 PM - Chimpanzee Feeding Experience
Head to the feeding platform viewing area and witness the chimps being fed. Learn about their behaviours, social bonds, and individual rescue stories from expert caregivers.

11:15 AM / 04:15 PM - Nature Walk or Island Exploration (Optional)
Stroll through the islandโ€™s butterfly trail or explore the lakeshore ecology, spotting birds and native vegetation. Guests on private tours may also enjoy light refreshments by the water.

12:00 PM / 05:00 PM - Return Boat Trip to Entebbe
Board the boat back to the mainland with incredible memories and an enriched appreciation for primate conservation.

Yes. The sanctuary is well managed, and guest areas are safely separated from chimpanzee enclosures.

No. For safety and conservation reasons, only trained staff interact directly with the chimps. You will observe from a safe and close distance.

Morning trips usually depart by 9:00 AM, and afternoon sessions by 1:00 PM. Private timing can be arranged.
