Typical 5-Day Itinerary
-
Day 1: Journey to Murchison & Rhino Tracking Depart from Kampala or Entebbe. Stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided foot trek to see Uganda’s only wild rhinos. Continue to the park and check into your lodge.
-
Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Cruise to the Falls Start with an early morning game drive in the northern savannah to see lions, giraffes, and elephants. In the afternoon, take a launch cruise on the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls, where you can see hippos and giant Nile crocodiles.
-
Day 3: Nile Delta Boat Cruise & Afternoon Game Drive Take a morning boat trip downstream toward Lake Albert (the Delta). This area is a birdwatcher's paradise and offers the best chance to see the prehistoric Shoebill. Spend the afternoon on a second game drive to find elusive predators like leopards.
-
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking & Top of the Falls Head to Budongo Forest for chimpanzee tracking. You'll also see other primates like Black-and-White Colobus monkeys. Later, visit the "Top of the Falls" viewpoint to feel the ground shake as the water plunges 45 meters down.
-
Day 5: Return to Kampala. Enjoy a final leisurely breakfast at the lodge. Take a slow drive out of the park for last-minute wildlife sightings before travelling back to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight.
